Mr. Bassett introduced a bill, Senate Bill No. 99, for "An act to amend an act entitled 'An act to regulate the foreclosure of chattel mortgages on household goods, wearing_apparel, and mechanics' tools,' approved June 5, 1889, in force July 1, 1889." On motion of Mr. Bassett, the rules were suspended, and the bill was read at large a first time, and, On motion of Mr. Bassett, was referred to the Committee on Judiciary. Mr. Bass introduced a bill, Senate Bill No. 100, for "An act to amend section 86, of an act entitled 'An act for the assessment of property, and for the levy and collection of taxes.' On motion of Mr. Bass, the rules were suspended, and the bill was read at large a first time, and, On motion of Mr. Bass, was referred to the Committee on Revenue. Mr. Wells introduced a bill, Senate Bill No. 101, for "An act to amend an act entitled 'An act to enable associations of persons to become a body corporate to raise funds to be loaned only among the members of such associations,' in force July 1, 1879, and as amended by an act in force July 1, 1887, by adding thereto one additional section to be known as section fifteen." Mr. Crawford, of Rock Island, introduced a bill, Senate Bill No. 102, for "An act to provide for printing and distributing ballots at the public expense, and to regulate the holding of elections for certain public offices in this State." On motion of Mr. Crawford, of Rock Island, the rules were suspended, and the bill was read at large a first time, and, On motion of Mr. Crawford, of Rock Island, was referred to the Committee on Elections.
