Nets or sections or parts of nets:

Monofilament gill nets to be used for fish sampling..
To be used in taking wild birds under license issued by
an appropriate Federal or State governmental authority.....

Unwrought metal including remelt scrap ingot (except copper,

produced from melted down metal waste and scrap for
convenience in handling and transportation without sweetening,
alloying, fluxing or deliberate purifying, and (b) which
cannot be commercially used without remanufacture; relaying

lead, of zinc or of tungsten, and not including metal-bearing
materials provided for in section VI or in chapter 26 and not

be used in remanufacture by melting or to be processed by

(a) Vessels subject to duty.--The equipments, or any part
thereof, including boats, purchased for, or the repair
parts or the materials to be used, expenses of repairs
made in a foreign country upon a vessel documented under
the laws of the United States to engage in the foreign
or coasting trade, or a vessel intended to be employed
in such trade, shall, on the first arrival of such vessel
in any port of the United States, be liable to entry and
the payment of an ad valorem duty of.....

(f) Civil aircraft exception.--The duty imposed under
subsection (a) shall not apply to the cost of equipments,
or any part thereof, purchased, of repair parts or materials

respect to a United States civil aircraft, within the meaning
of general note 3(c)(iv) of the USHTS...

FREE IMPORTATION OF MERCHANDISE RECOVERED FROM SUNKEN AND
ABANDONED VESSELS

Whenever any vessel laden with merchandise, in whole or in
part subject to duty, has been sunk in any river, harbor,
bay, or waters subject to the jurisdiction of the United
States, and within its limits, for the period of two years
and is abandoned by the owner thereof, any person who may
raise such vessel shall be permitted to bring any merchandise
recovered therefrom into the port nearest to the place where
such vessel was so raised free from the payment of any duty
thereon, but under such regulations as the Secretary of the
Treasury may prescribe.....
