The rules were suspended, and the following resolution was adopted: Resolved, That a committee of two be appointed by the Speaker, to advise the Executive that this house is now ready to adjourn sine die, and ascertain if he may have any communication to make to the Senate.

On motion of Mr. Pinckney,

The rules were suspended, and it was

Resolved, That the members of the Senate do hereby tender to the Speaker of the Senate their thanks for the ability, dignity and courtesy with which he has presided over the deliberations of this body.

Resolved, That the Secretary of the Senate, his assistants, and other officers of this body, have discharged their duties in a satisfactory and able manner, and are entitled to our thanks.

The Speaker called Mr. Fuller to the chair.

Mr. Fort, from the committee appointed to wait upon the Governor and advise him that the Senate is now ready to adjourn sine die, and ascertain if he had any communication to make to the Senate, reported that the Executive had no further communication to make.

Senators Ward, Boyd, Woodson, Munn and Fuller each spoke briefly, thanking the Speaker, Senators and officers for their uniform courtesies; which was happily responded to by the Speaker.

The Speaker then, at 10:30 A.M., declared the Senate adjourned sine die.
