Strana 81 - Laws of a general nature shall have uniform operation throughout the State, and no special law shall be enacted in any case, for which provision has been made by an existing general law.
Strana 583 - The legislative authority of this State shall be vested in a General Assembly, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives...
Strana 334 - ... at least thirty days prior to the introduction into the General Assembly of such bill, and in the manner to be provided by law...
Strana 525 - Any amendment or amendments to this constitution may be proposed in the Senate or House of Representatives ; and if the same shall be agreed to by a majority of the members elected to each of the two Houses...
Strana 621 - ... the Legislature, shall be let by contract to the lowest bidder or bidders, who shall give adequate and satisfactory security for the performance thereof. The Legislature shall prescribe by law the manner in which the State printing shall be executed, and the accounts rendered therefor; and shall prohibit all charges for constructive labor.
Strana 577 - Every citizen may freely speak, write, and publish his sentiments on all subjects, being responsible for the abuse of that liberty.
Strana 104 - No person shall be deprived of life, liberty or property, except by due process of law.
Strana 101 - Every order, resolution, or vote to which the concurrence of both Houses may be necessary, except on a question of adjournment, shall be presented to the Governor, and, before it shall take effect, be approved by him, or, being disapproved, shall be repassed by a majority of all the members elected to both Houses, according to the rules and limitations prescribed in case of a bill.
Strana 331 - Justice shall preside; and no person shall be convicted without the concurrence of twothirds of the members present. (7) Judgment in cases of impeachment shall not extend further than removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit, under the Confederate States; but the party convicted shall, nevertheless, be liable and subject to indictment, trial, judgment, and punishment according to law.
