A firsthand account of the author's postgraduate course in the school of life, as well as a pleasure trip and a search for adventure which encompassed 21 months and 70,000 miles around the globe. Marshall did not intend to be any ordinary vagabond however, but a vagabond deluxe, which is borne out by his statement that he wore his dinner jacket more than his dungarees. An entertaining read-the author clearly completed his travel courses with honors.
