Strana 14 - Secretary of State of the United States, have hereunto subscribed my name and caused the seal of the Department of State to be affixed. Done at the city of Washington, this ninth day of August, AD 1882, and of the Independence of the United States of America the one hundred and seventh.
Strana 14 - Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, (two-thirds of both houses concurring, ) That the following article be proposed to the legislatures of the several States as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which, when ratified by three-fourths of said legislatures, shall be valid as part of the Constitution, namely : ARTICLE XIV.

Strana 37 - No member shall vote on any question, in the event of which he is immediately and particularly interested, or in any case where he was not within the bar of the house when the question was put. And when any member shall ask leave to vote, the speaker shall propound to him the question, "Were you within the bar when your name was called?
Strana 42 - All incidental questions of order arising after a motion is made for the previous question, and pending such motion, shall be decided, whether on appeal or otherwise, without debate.
Strana 53 - When a bill or resolution, which shall have passed in one house, is rejected in the other, notice thereof shall be given to the house in which the same shall have passed.
