NOTE.

WHILE this work was in the press, the Capital Stock of the Hartford Bank was augmented to $207,600, and the New-York Marine Insurance Company applied to the Legislature for an act of incorporation-see p. 32. During the same time, information has been received that the Bank of Nantucket was established and incorporated in May, 1795. Its capital was to have been $40,000-but in June of the same year, it was robbed of about 21,000. Its present capital is $20,262.
