The thirty-fourth annual session of the Georgia Bar Association convened in the pavilion of Hotel Tybee, at Tybee Island, Georgia, at 11.15 A. M. on the thirty-first day of May, 1917. The meeting was called to order by the President, Mr. William H. Barrett, of Augusta. The President: The thirty-fourth annual session of the Georgia Bar Association will come to order. The first order of business is the report of the Chairman of the Executive Committee, Mr. Shepard Bryan, of Atlanta. Mr. Shepard Bryan, of Atlanta: Mr. President, Ladies, and Gentlemen of the Association: We are honored by the presence of the ladies here to-day, and I wish to express our appreciation of their presence. (Applause.) The Executive Committee has discharged the usual functions of that Committee during the past year. It had a meeting in January and prepared the program for this, our annual session; and you have seen the program that was worked out, in the official announcement sent out by our efficient and competent Secretary. Under the management of the Executive Committee we will undertake during the three days of this session to carry out that program in as satisfactory a manner as possible, and in accordance with circumstances which may arise during our session.
