for gallery practice. These shells will bear about 100 firings without resizing. After firing 100 times they may be sent in lots to the Frankford Arsenal for inspection and resizing, and will then, if serviceable, be returned to the commanding officers of the companies or troops.

Reloading tools for gallery-practice ammunition are issued one set to a company or troop. The set of reloading tools comprises the following articles:

(a) Priming tool without spindle.

(b) Primer extracting spindle with five extra pins.
(c) Primer inserting spindle.

(d) Charger, hand reloading (capacity 5 grains black

powder).

(e) Loading anvil.

(f) Loading die.

(g) Loading punch.

(h) Ball mold (5 balls).

(i) Melting ladle (for lead alloy or lubricant).

(j) Pouring ladle (for filling ball mold).

(k) Strainer (for lubricating balls by dipping in melted

Japan wax).

(1) Brush wiper.

(m) Brass wiping rod (cleaning fired cases, dies, etc.).
(n) Brass mouthpiece or funnel (for use with brush

wiper and charger).

Tools (b), (l), (m), and (n) constitute, when necessary, a separate set for decapping and cleaning service caliber .30 fired cases before turning them in to Frankford Arsenal. If necessary, the case can be decapped by inserting the spindle in it and striking the butt of the latter on a bench or block, but when the priming tool is available the decapping is done with it and the spindle.

Caliber .30 service ammunition will not be reloaded at posts, and reloading tools for this purpose are not issued to the service.

XXIV. Shotguns and Ammunition.-Shotguns will be issued only to troops stationed in Alaska, for hunting purposes. The annual allowance of ammunition will be 1,000 loaded cartridges per company or troop.

XXV. Arms for Prison Guards. For use in guarding prisons the Springfield carbine, caliber .45, with the necessary supply of guard cartridges, will be issued upon requisition.

XXVI. All orders or circulars heretofore issued on the subject, in conflict with this order, are hereby revoked.

ORDERS

The following is published for the information and guidance of all concerned:

1. A survey having been made of the military reservation on the north side of the entrance to Manila Bay, in the Province of Bataan, Luzon (Mariveles Reservation), as reduced by Executive Order of March 14, 1904 (General Orders, No. 56, War Department, Washington, March 25, 1904), it is hereby announced that the said reservation, according to the survey, contains 6,173 acres, more or less, and includes all public lands within metes and bounds described as follows:

Starting from a stone monument marked "U. S." (Station A), located at the mouth of the Mariveles River and on the east bank; thence true north for 5,280 feet to a stone monument marked "U. S." (Station B); thence true east for 11.259 feet to a stone monument marked "U. S." (Station C): thence true north for 7,187 feet to a stone monument marked "U. S." (Station 4); thence true east for 6.600 feet to a stone monument marked "U. S." (Station 5); thence true south for 6,600 feet to a stone monument marked "U.S." (Station 6); thence true east for 8,910 feet to a stone monument marked "U. S." (Station 7); thence true south for 7,730 feet to a stone monument marked "U. S." (Station 8), located at northwest corner of second cove to the eastward of Lasisi Point, 30 feet north of high-water mark; thence, on same course, to high-water mark; thence westerly, following shore line, to point of beginning.

2. It is further announced that the areas of the islands reserved by paragraph 3 of said Executive Order of March 14, 1904 (General Orders, No. 56, War Department, Washington, March 25, 1904), are, approximately, as follows: Corregidor, 1,734.74 acres; Pulo Caballo, 75.45 acres; Carabao, 44.5 acres; La Monja, 1.6 acres; El Fraile, 0.80 acres; Sta. Amalia (off northwest coast of Corregidor), 0.47 acres; and Rock (off southeast point of Corregidor and north of Pulo Caballo), 0.475 acres.
