The present volume is part of a general renaissance in the study of rhetoric and bears testimony to a discipline undergoing rapid and exciting change. William J. Dominik is Associate Professor (Reader) of Classics at the University of Natal, South Africa, and the editor of the classical journal Scholia. He has published a number of books and articles on Roman literature and rhetoric.
