JOURNAL

OF THE

SENATE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA.

SPECIAL SESSION, COMMENCING OCTOBER 25, 1865.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1865.

At 7 o'clock P. M., on this day, the President pro tem. of the Senate took the Chair, pursuant to the order suspending business on the 11th inst., and called the Senate to order.

The Clerk called the roll, when the following Senators answered to their

names:

Hon. F. D. Moses, President pro tem.; and, Hon. Lemuel Boozer, from Lexington; Hon. James Hemphill, Chester; Hon. W. D. Johnson, Marlboro; Hon. A. Q. McDuffie, Marion: Hon. George F. Townes, Greenville; Hon. John Townsend, Orangeburg; Hon. George W. Williams, York; Hon. John Wilson, Anderson.

A quorum not being present, the President pro tem. announced that no motion being made to send for absent Senators, the Senate would stand adjourned to meet on Monday next, at 11 A. M.
