Mr. Crawford, from the joint committee, reported that they had waited on the President of the United States, who informed them that he had no further communications to make to the two Houses of Congress.

On motion,

Ordered, That the Secretary notify the House of Representatives that the Senate, having finished the business before them, are about to adjourn.

The Secretary having performed that duty,.

The President adjourned the Senate without day.
