of stone gravel and earth, to commence at a point at the
terminus of the Bridgeport and Horeshoe Turnpike, in
East Lampeter township, in the county of Lancaster, and
end at the township line between East Lampeter and Lea-
cock townships, in the county of Lancaster, near the village
of Bird-in-Hand, a distance of about three and one half
miles, the whole of said proposed road is situated in Lan-
caster county.

metal, or of any article of commerce from metal or wood,

adjacent thereto.

Erecting and maintaining a ferry for the carriage of passen-
gers, &c., by means of steam-flat, boat-wire, rope, or other
contrivance across the Big Beaver creek, between a point
in Rochester township, on said stream opposite the mouth
of Brady's run, Beaver county, Pennsylvania, and a point
on said stream, four hundred feet south of the mouth of
said run, in the borough of Bridgewater, Beaver county,
Pennsylvania, and that said point for the proposed ferry is
more than three thousand feet from any bridge or ferry
company that is not "within three thousand feet of any
other bridge or ferry in actual use." The nearest incor-
porated bridge or ferry being one mile distant on said
stream at Rochester.
