61. Whiting and Paris white, dry, and chalk, ground or bolted, one-tenth of one cent per pound; whiting and Paris white, ground in oil, or putty, fifteen per centum ad valorem.

62. Hydriodate, fodide, and iodate of potash, twenty-five cents per pound.

64. Prussiate of potash, red, eight cents per pound; yellow, four cents per pound; cyanide of potassium, twelve and one-half per centum ad valorem.

Soda: Benzoate of, five cents per pound; chlorate of, and nitrite of, onehalf of one cent per pound; bicarbonate of, or supercarbonate of, or saleratus, and other alkalies containing fifty per centum or more of bicarbonate of soda; hydrate of, or caustic; phosphate of; hyposulphite of; sulphid of, and sulphite of, one-fourth of one cent per pound; cyanide of, one and one-half cents per pound; chromate and bicaromate of, and yellow prussiate of, three-fourths of one cent per pound; borate of, or borax refined; crystal carbonate of, monohydrate, and sesquicarponate of; sal soda, and soda crystais, one-eighth of one cent per pound; and sulphate of soda crystallized, or Glauber salts, one dollar per ton.

69. Sponges: Trimmed or untrimmed but not advanced in value by chemica! processes, ten per centum ad valorem; bleached sponges and sponges advanced in value by processes involving chemical operations, manufactures of sponges, or of which sponge is the component material of chief value, not specially provided for in this section, fifteen per centum ad valorem.

70. Talcum, ground talc, steatite, and French chalk, cut, powdered, washed, or pulverized, fifteen per centum ad valorem.

71. Vanillin, ten cents per ounce; vanilla beans, thirty cents per pound; tonka beans, twenty-five cents per pound.

69. Castile soap, one and one-fourth cents per pound; medicinal or medicated soaps, twenty cents per pound; fancy or perfumed toilet soaps, fifty per centum ad valorem; all other soaps not specially provided for in this section, twenty per centum ad valorem. [See paragraph 3.]

70. Bicarbonate of soda, or supercarbonate of soda, or saleratus, and other alkalies containing fifty per centum or more of bicarbonate of soda, five-eighths of one cent per pound.
